Cinnabar is a lovely deep Red stone with a sub metallic luster. Cinnabar is the red sulphide of mercury that occurs in brilliant red crystals and in red or brown amorphous masses. The word 'Cinnabar' is derived from the Persian word for 'dragon's blood.' It has a hardness rating of 2 and 2.5 and is carved for making beautiful fancy jewellery and other ornamental objects.
